Friday, July 4, 2008- Explorer Buses filling in ... citylink is getting some help from buses used at both Sunday River and Sugarloaf ski resorts.
FREE FARE FRIDAY
Through the months of July and August, citylink and ADA complementary paratransit service will be FREE on Fridays.
Governor Baldacci is asking people across the state to "declare their energy independence" by riding public transit. As an incentive to ride public transit for the first time or to maybe start riding again, transit systems across the state will be FREE on Fridays through the month of July. Auburn and Lewiston are taking it a step further by extending the FREE Fare Friday program though the end of August.

July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (closed Friday, July 4)
(ADA complementary paratransit riders are required to schedule your trip the day before.)

The Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee (LATC), owner’s of citylink, Lewiston-Auburn’s fixed route public transit system is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide operations and maintenance for its fixed route system and ADA Complementary Paratransit service.

Have you been thinking about taking a computer class, changing careers or going back to school to get a college degree? citylink can help get you there.
- All four Lewiston-Auburn college campuses now have citylink service, including Central Maine Community College (CMCC), Andover College, University of Southern Maine/LA College and Bates College.
- Both Andover College and USM/LACollege are on the Lisbon Street bus route, receiving regular half-hour service. Bates College also has halfhour service via the College Street bus.
- citylink service to Central Maine Community College (CMCC) has been expanded to six daily round-trips with two new runs at 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Route 9 to CMCC departs Auburn’s Great Falls bus station via Turner Street and takes you directly to CMCC in 11 minutes.
- The Route 9 CMCC bus also stops along Turner Street providing access to residences, restaurants, and stores, all a short walk from the bus stop. It also stops at Gracelawn Road and Turner Street for students and faculty going to Saint Dominic Regional High School.
- Route 9 also stops at Joline Street and Turner Street for those who want to shop at the Auburn Plaza. For more information, check the centerfold inside for the new citylink schedule and map, including the new Route 9 bus to CMCC.
- Demand for bus service has grown. Minot Avenue offers an array of food choices to meet any craving, whether it is Chinese food, pizza, hamburgers, or coffee and donut. Did you know that there are twelve eating establishments, seven medical offices, six financial institutions, and three pharmacies on the Minot Avenue bus route?

CityLink Bus System serves Central Maine Community College
CityLink bus service will begin serving Central Maine Community College Thursday, August 12, 2004. citylink will serve the campus four times daily, Monday through Friday. Buses leave Auburn's Great Falls bus station at 7:15 am, 8:15 am, 10:30 am, and 4:00 pm, and arrive on campus within 15 minutes.
The 7:15 and 8:15 am bus will travel north on Center Steet, turn left into the Shaw's parking lot, exit via King Avenue, turn right onto Turner Street, and will procede to CM. The 10:30 am and 4:00 pm bus will depart Great Falls bus station onto Turner Street and will continue on Turner Street to CM. All bus runs will return downtown by way of Turner Street.
